New cutting-edge treatment options like amniotic membrane stem cell treatments may be used to successfully treat patients with conditions of the connective tissue, such as Achilles tendonitis and degenerative arthritis.
Stem cell treatment takes advantage of the body’s ability to repair itself. With amniotic stem cell therapy, our sports medicine podiatrist in Merrillville, IN, introduces stem cells from amniotic tissues into your body. These stem cells have anti-inflammatory properties, similar to cortisone and steroids. However, stem cell therapy goes far beyond the benefits of standard pain-relieving treatments.
While cortisone and other drugs only provide temporary pain relief, stem cells actually restore degenerated tissue while providing pain relief. The growth factors in amniotic stem cells may replace damaged cells in your body. In addition, stem cell treatment contains hyaluronic acid, which lubricates joints and tendons to easing pain and restore mobility.
Amniotic stem cell therapy is very safe and effective. Learn more about several benefits this treatment has to offer:

We are requiring patients and anyone accompanying them to arrive for their appointment with a face covering, (such as a scarf, bandana, t-shirt, handmade mask or other) that covers their nose and mouth already in place. If they or their guests arrive without one, they will be asked to return to their car to put one on or reschedule their appointment. We are unable to issue surgical masks to patients at this time. As such, beginning on the morning of April 8th, we will require patients and visitors to arrive for their appointment already wearing a face covering.
